This sheet steel eyelet is used to create a finished metal passage around holes in footwear, bags, garments, leather, synthetic leather, tags, folders, cardboard and compatible textile products.

The production inner diameter is 5.85 mm / 0.230 in and the product is classified in the approximately 6 mm / 0.236 in opening group. The 11.6 mm / 0.457 in outer flange surrounds the prepared hole, while the 5.3 mm / 0.209 in barrel is formed over the selected washer.

Plastic Washer or Metal Washer?

A plastic washer may be selected when a lighter and softer rear support is preferred for compatible garments, textiles, tags or folders.

A metal washer may be selected for footwear, bags and leather goods requiring a conventional metal rear support.

Plastic and metal washers are separate product options and must not be shown as included together.

Setting Die and Hole Preparation

A separate punching die may be used to prepare the hole. The punching die prepares the material only; a compatible setting die is still required to form the barrel over the washer.
