Custom Setting Die for Pleated Insect Screen Eyelets
This custom setting die is designed to install a 6–6.5 mm / 0.236–0.256 in pleated insect screen eyelet and its selected washer onto PVC strips used in pleated screen and pleated blind production.
The product is not an eyelet or a hole-punching tool. It supports the visible eyelet face and forms the barrel over the washer under press force. The eyelet-specific working profile helps centre the parts and reduce uneven closing during repeated production.
The die is manufactured from reinforced, heat-treated hardened steel to support surface durability during workshop and production use.
When Should This Die Be Selected?

Which Eyelet Is the Die Designed For?
The primary matching eyelet has a 5.85 mm / 0.230 in production inner diameter, 11.6 mm / 0.457 in outer diameter, 6.4 mm / 0.252 in overall height and 5.3 mm / 0.209 in barrel height.
The eyelet may be combined with a metal or plastic washer. Washer dimensions and thickness must be considered when the die profile is prepared.
Difference from the General-Purpose Setting Die
A general-purpose die may tolerate several standard eyelets with close inner and outer dimensions. The custom pleated screen die is prepared around the selected eyelet face, 11.6 mm / 0.457 in outer diameter, 5.3 mm / 0.209 in barrel and washer construction.
This product-specific profile helps centre the eyelet, protect the visible face and form the barrel more consistently over the washer.
Metal and Plastic Washer Compatibility
The die may be prepared for the selected metal or plastic washer. Washer thickness, shape and opening may vary, so the intended washer model should be stated before production.
Universal compatibility with every metal and plastic washer must not be assumed.
Punching Die and Setting Die Are Different Tools
A punching die prepares the opening in the PVC strip. This setting die installs the eyelet and washer after the opening has been prepared.
Use a separate 6 mm / 0.236 in punching die or compatible hole-preparation tool when required.
