6 mm / 0.24 in Eyelet Punching Die

This Eyelet Punching Die creates a 6 mm / 0.24 in hole in leather, fabric, synthetic leather, canvas, webbing and similar materials before eyelet installation. It prepares the opening required for the eyelet barrel to pass through the material before the final setting stage.

This is a Punching Die, not an Eyelet Setting Die. It prepares the hole only. It does not roll the barrel, clinch a washer or complete the eyelet installation.

6 mm Hole for 6–6.5 mm Inner Diameter Eyelets

The die makes a 6 mm / 0.24 in hole. It can be used with compatible eyelets whose finished inner diameter is approximately 6 mm / 0.24 in, 6.4 mm / 0.25 in or 6.5 mm / 0.26 in.

The punched-hole diameter and the finished eyelet inner diameter describe different stages of the application. The hole allows the eyelet barrel to pass through the material. The inner diameter is the opening that remains visible after final setting.

A matching Eyelet Setting Die tolerates the small difference during installation. Compatibility still depends on the actual barrel outside diameter, barrel height, washer form and total thickness of the material stack.
