What Is the Pleated Screen Eyelet Starter Die Set?

This starter set combines a custom PVC-strip punch die and a custom eyelet setting die for 4.5 mm / 0.177 in pleated insect screen eyelet applications.

The punch die prepares the round opening in the PVC strip. The setting die then closes the eyelet barrel over the selected washer. These are two separate production steps and require different working dies.

What Is Included?

  • Custom hole-punch die for 4.5 mm / 0.177 in pleated screen eyelets
  • Custom setting and crimping die for 4.5 mm / 0.177 in pleated screen eyelets

Eyelets, washers, PVC strips, presses and machine adapters are selected separately.

Punching and Setting Functions

The punch die prepares a controlled round opening in the PVC strip. It does not fasten the eyelet.

The setting die supports the visible eyelet face and forms the barrel over the selected washer.

Matching Eyelet

The reference standard eyelet has a 4.5 mm / 0.177 in inner opening, 8.3 mm / 0.327 in outer diameter and 5.3 mm / 0.209 in height.

The matching eyelet may be ordered with a metal or plastic washer. Test the selected washer, eyelet, PVC strip and setting die together before repeated production.

Long-Barrel Compatibility

A long-barrel eyelet may share the same inner-opening class but require a different setting distance. Punch compatibility does not automatically confirm setting-die compatibility.

Retail Orders

For retail orders, packaged products are shipped in the color indicated on the pack.
