Custom Hole-Punch Die for Pleated Screen PVC Strips

This custom hole-punch die is used to prepare a controlled round opening in PVC strips before the installation of a 4.5 mm / 0.177 in pleated insect screen eyelet.

A clean and correctly positioned hole helps the eyelet sit more evenly on the strip. An oversized, irregular or off-centre opening may reduce the available holding area or cause the PVC strip to tear close to the edge.

The punch die is manufactured from reinforced, heat-treated hardened steel for repeated workshop and production use.

When Should This Punch Die Be Selected?

  • For 4.5 mm / 0.177 in pleated insect screen eyelet applications
  • For narrow PVC strips and connection bands
  • For cord and guide passage points in pleated screens
  • When repeated production requires controlled hole positioning

Punching Die and Setting Die Are Different Tools

This punch die prepares the hole only. It does not form the eyelet barrel or fasten the washer to the PVC strip.

After punching, insert the eyelet through the strip, position the selected washer on the rear side and use a separate compatible setting die to complete the installation.

Difference from a General-Purpose Punch Die

A general-purpose 4.5 mm / 0.177 in punch die may be used on fabric, leather, cardboard, labels and other compatible materials.

This custom version is intended for narrow PVC strips used in pleated screen production. Its working geometry is prepared for controlled and repeatable PVC-strip hole preparation.

Compatible Eyelet

The primary matching eyelet has a 4.5 mm / 0.177 in inner opening, 8.3 mm / 0.327 in outer diameter and 5.3 mm / 0.209 in height.

Actual PVC-strip thickness, hole position and setting-die compatibility must be checked through a sample installation.

Does it install the eyelet?

No. A separate setting die is required to fasten the eyelet and washer after the hole has been prepared.

Can it be used with a long-barrel eyelet?

The matching inner-diameter class is the same, but the setting die and press adjustment must be checked separately for the long barrel.

Is it suitable for every PVC strip?

No. Strip width, thickness, hardness and hole position must be tested on the actual material.

For retail orders, packaged products are shipped in the color indicated on the pack.
