Compact Sheet Steel Eyelet for Small Openings

This sheet steel eyelet provides a neat metal finish around small holes in footwear, bags, garments, leather, synthetic leather, tags, sample cards and compatible accessory materials.

The 4.5 mm / 0.177 in opening is suitable for thin laces, cords, strings and small ventilation points. The 8.3 mm / 0.327 in outer flange covers the edge of the prepared hole. The 5.3 mm / 0.209 in barrel is formed over the selected washer with a compatible setting die.

Dimensions and Options

Plastic Washer or Metal Washer?

A plastic washer may be considered when a lighter and softer rear support is preferred for compatible textile, garment or tag applications.

A metal washer may be selected when a traditional all-metal rear appearance is required for footwear, bags, leather goods and accessories.

Plastic and metal washers are separate options. Only the selected washer type applies to the order.

Setting Die and Hole Preparation

Use a compatible setting die intended for eyelets with an inner diameter of approximately 4.5–5 mm / 0.177–0.197 in.

A separate punching die may be used to prepare the opening. The punching die prepares the material only; a setting die is still required to form the eyelet barrel over the washer.

The base package contains 250 eyelet capsules. Higher quantities may be selected from the product options. Washer type and finish are chosen separately when ordering.
