Manual Hand Press Starter Set for Pleated Screen Eyelets

This starter set brings together the machine and dies required to prepare PVC strips and install compatible metal eyelets in pleated insect screen and pleated blind systems.

The punch die prepares a 5 mm / 0.197 in round opening in the PVC strip. The setting die joins the eyelet and selected washer. The manual hand press operates the appropriate die for each process.

Functions of the Included Equipment

Punch die

The punch die prepares the round opening required for the eyelet barrel. It does not fasten the eyelet or washer.

Setting die

The setting die forms and closes the eyelet barrel over the selected washer after the opening has been prepared. It does not punch the PVC strip.

Manual hand press

The manual press operates both dies. The relevant die is fitted according to whether the PVC strip is being punched or the eyelet is being set.

How Does It Differ from the Die-Only Starter Set?

The die-only version includes the punch and setting dies. This machine-assisted starter set also includes the manual hand press required to operate them.

Eyelet Class and Prepared Hole Size

The 5–5.5 mm / 0.197–0.217 in value identifies the target eyelet-opening class. The punch die prepares a 5 mm / 0.197 in opening for the eyelet barrel.

The eyelet class and prepared-hole diameter describe different parts of the application and must not be treated as the same measurement.

Compatibility Limits

Eyelets carrying the same nominal measurement may have different outer diameters, barrel heights, visible-face profiles and washer constructions.

Retail Orders

For retail orders, packaged products are shipped in the color indicated on the pack.
