Two different 5 mm / 0.197 in Padova models are supplied as separate products.

The tools can be used to prepare holes in suitable leather, faux leather, fabric, canvas, tarpaulin, cardboard, bags, belts and textile accessories. They prepare holes only and do not install eyelets, snaps or rivets.

Hole Preparation Is Not Final Installation

These tools prepare holes only. They do not install eyelets, snap fasteners, rivets or other hardware. A separate setting die compatible with the actual fastener construction is required for final installation.

The Padova cutter prepares the passage through the material. A setting die secures the eyelet, rivet, snap or other component after the correct opening has been prepared. Hole preparation and final installation are separate operations.

How to Select the Correct Hole Diameter

Do not select a cutter according to the visible cap or flange diameter. Measure the actual tube, post, pin, nail or leg that must pass through the material.

  • Measure the component that passes through the material.
  • Evaluate the total material thickness and elasticity.
  • Allow less tolerance on thick, layered or rigid materials.
  • Confirm that the hardware passes through without excessive clearance.
  • Complete a sample test before repeated production.

Application Instructions

  1. Select the Padova cutter matching the required hole diameter.
  2. Confirm that the cutter and lower anvil belong to the same diameter.
  3. Place the material securely over the lower anvil.
  4. Keep the cutter perpendicular to the working surface.
  5. Confirm that the cutter is correctly fitted to the manual tool.
  6. Apply a controlled vertical hammer strike.
  7. Inspect the prepared opening and material edges.
  8. Adjust the impact gradually after testing on sample material.

Connection Compatibility Warning

The products shown in the supplied cart appear to use the connection option described as 1/4 in with an approximately 8 mm / 0.315 in connection diameter. Metric and imperial threads may have similar outside diameters while using different thread pitches and profiles.

Never force incompatible threads together. All cutters, lower anvils and manual tools must be ordered with matching connections. Physical compatibility should be confirmed before the collection is assembled and shipped.

Yes. One KLP00EL01 long-handle manual striking tool set is included.

Can this collection install eyelets or rivets?

It prepares the required openings only. Final installation requires a separate setting die compatible with the selected eyelet, rivet or snap fastener.

Is a hammer included?

The hammer, press and other application machines are not included.

Can every cutter be fitted to the same tool?

Only cutters with matching connection standards should be used together. The connection diameter, thread pitch and thread profile must be confirmed before use.

The prices listed for our products apply to the standard color options offered. Colors outside the standard range, enamel work, stone details or similar custom work are charged in addition to the product price.

Any price difference is determined by the material and workmanship required for the chosen finish.

All prices shown apply based on the sales unit specified on the product page. This unit may vary by product — pack, gross, meter or piece.

Retail Orders

For retail orders, packaged products are shipped in the color indicated on the pack. For products where a minimum order quantity is specified on the product page, the color you selected is only shipped when the order meets that minimum quantity.
