Custom PVC Strip Punch Die for Pleated Screen Eyelets

This custom punch die prepares a controlled round opening in PVC strips before a pleated insect screen eyelet is installed.

The tool prepares an approximately 5 mm / 0.197 in hole for eyelets in the 5–5.5 mm / 0.197–0.217 in size class. It does not install the eyelet or close the washer.

The reinforced die is manufactured from heat-treated hardened steel to support repeated workshop and production use.

When Should This Punch Die Be Selected?

• For pleated screen eyelets in the 5–5.5 mm / 0.197–0.217 in class
• For preparing approximately 5 mm / 0.197 in holes in PVC strips

Why Is the Hole Smaller Than the Eyelet Class?

The 5–5.5 mm / 0.197–0.217 in value describes the eyelet opening class. The prepared hole is based on the eyelet barrel that passes through the PVC strip.

The hole must not be opened to the full outer size of the eyelet. The eyelet face and rear washer hold the remaining PVC material around the opening.

Punching Die and Setting Die Are Different

The punching die prepares the hole in the PVC strip. A separate setting die is then used to close the eyelet barrel over the washer.

This product cannot replace the eyelet setting die.
