40 mm / 1.57 in Eyelet Punching Die for Large Grommet Applications

This Eyelet Punching Die is used to prepare the material opening before installing compatible large grommets in the 40 mm / 1.57 in inner diameter group. It supports cleaner hole preparation on tarpaulins, tents, curtains, awnings, banners, vinyl prints, technical textiles, leather and reinforced fabric products.

Large grommet installation requires two separate stages: the material opening is prepared first, then the eyelet and washer are set with a compatible setting die. This product is for the first stage only.

Punching Die and Setting Die Are Different Tools

• Eyelet Punching Die: Prepares the material opening before grommet installation.
• Eyelet Setting Die: Sets the eyelet and washer under controlled pressure.
• Press or tool: Supplies the force needed for punching or setting.

Do not use this product as a setting die. It does not close the washer, form the eyelet barrel or complete the installation.

This punching die is intended for material preparation before installing compatible 40 mm / 1.57 in large grommets. The visible finished opening is important, but the actual hole-preparation result must also match the eyelet capsule, washer, barrel height and material behaviour.

1/4 in and M6 are different thread standards. Confirm holder geometry, thread diameter, thread pitch, seating surface and pressing axis before use. If the machine and die standards differ, a suitable adapter may be required.

Correct Application Sequence

1. Choose the compatible large grommet and washer.
2. Check capsule diameter, barrel height, washer form and material thickness.
3. Mark the grommet position on the material.
4. Install the punching die into physically compatible equipment.
