This 28L fabric-covered snap fastener produces an approximately 17 mm / 0.669 in visible cap and uses a 54-system lower fastening construction. The aluminium upper cap can be covered with fabric selected for the garment, bag or textile product.

The package contains 100 complete sets and 600 individual components. Each set includes one aluminium cap, one brass cap back, one plastic support washer and three stainless fastening components.

Select the finish of the stainless socket, stud and post before ordering. Covering fabric, cutting die, covering die, snap setting die and press are not included.

28L Fabric-Covered Snap Fastener

This fabric-covered snap fastener creates a closure whose visible upper surface can be coordinated with the fabric of a garment, bag or textile accessory. Once covered, the aluminium cap produces an approximate visible diameter of 17 mm / 0.669 in.

The snap uses a 54-system fastening construction. The covered-cap assembly consists of an aluminium cap, a brass cap back and a plastic support washer. The working lower closure consists of a stainless socket, stud and post.

Finish selection: Select the required finish for the stainless socket, stud and post. This selection does not determine the appearance of the aluminium cap, as the cap is intended to be covered with the customer’s fabric.

Three Separate Dies Are Required

  1. 28L fabric cutting die: Cuts a 28 mm / 1.102 in fabric circle.
  2. 28L covering die: Forms the fabric around the aluminium cap and joins it to the plastic washer and brass cap back.
  3. 17 mm / 0.669 in 54-system setting die: Installs the covered cap and stainless lower components onto the product.
Do not use the 24L/15 mm dies for this product. The covering fabric requires a 28 mm / 1.102 in cut, the cap requires the 28L covering die, and final installation requires the compatible 17 mm / 0.669 in 54-system setting die.

Compatible Presses

With the correct die connection, the dies can be used with a manual hand press, an impact setting machine or a light-duty manual impact press.

The prices listed for our products apply to the standard color options offered. Colors outside the standard range, enamel work, stone details or similar custom work are charged in addition to the product price.

Retail Orders

For retail orders, packaged products are shipped in the color indicated on the pack. For products where a minimum order quantity is specified on the product page, the color you selected is only shipped when the order meets that minimum quantity. For color requests below the stated minimum, we ship from whichever colors are currently in stock.
