This reversible hammer-driven tool supports both hole punching and eyelet setting for the 13 mm (0.51 in) stainless steel eyelet family. Use the pointed end to make an opening in fabric or tarp, then turn the tool over and use its setting end to secure the eyelet and washer.

Do not select the tool by nominal size alone: inner opening, barrel height, washer shape and the thickness of the material all affect fit.

How to Install Eyelets in 5 Steps

1. Mark the eyelet position and place the fabric or tarp on a suitable solid backing.
2. Position the pointed punch end vertically and strike carefully with a hammer to make the opening.
3. Insert a matching 13 mm (0.51 in) stainless eyelet from the front side.
4. Place a separately purchased plastic washer around the eyelet barrel at the back.
5. Reverse the hand tool to the setting end and strike carefully to secure the eyelet and washer.

Use a firm backing surface and appropriate eye protection for hammer-driven setting.
